There have of course been other trips, to places too numerous to remember on journeys too short to warrant separate pages. I haven't always kept the kind of records that I routinely keep on trips nowadays. I haven't always averaged a roll of film for each day of my journey. Behind me on the wall is a collage of photographs of an alleyway in Sousse in Tunisia, the famous Reichenbach Falls in Austria, Cologne Cathedral, a Viennese street scene, Lake Garda in Italy. On this page are pictures of some of these places, random images of my other travels. I hope you enjoy seeing them for the first time as much as I've enjoyed looking through my old albums and selecting them.
Both thesephotographs are of Rudesheim - on the Rhine, a picturesque town with an enormous Summer population of tourists. It's quaint and pretty but so geared up for the arrival of these hordes that it might as well be named 'Blackpool-Am-Rhein'
An artisan in Sousse (Tunisia) toils laboriously away at has elaborate metalwork, marred only by yht fact that the design he is so painstakingly creating as a picture of a camel and the words 'A Present From Tunisia'

Meanwhile over in the market the shep are selling well, although the grain salesman seems to have something of a dearth of customers.
Vienna is a pretty nice city although there is something vaguely disappointing about . Perhaps it's because it has such a romantic reputation that the lack of a Strauss soundtrack seems to let it down.
Salzburg (above and right) on the other hand is a marvelous little town, made all the better for being so unexpectedly photogenic and the many small towns such as Hallstadt (above right) seem to have been taken straight from a fairy tale book.
I visited it while on a hiking holiday based in Kandersteg around which there are many beautiful mountain walks.
Brienz is a small Austrian town whose main claim to fame is that it is very near the Reichenbach Falls where Sherlock Holmes is supposed to have faked his own death at the hands of Professor Moriarty.
Cologne Cathedral
I'm not completely sure where these three are (If you can positively identify them let me know in my guest book !) but I was on holiday in the Black Forest and I think they are of Koblenz although I did also take a trip to Cologne where I took the picture of the cathedral.
This on the other hand is definitely a picture of the Jungfrau.
